A national mental health charity has teamed up with Durham County Council to expand its supported housing services in Bishop Auckland.

National mental health charity Richmond Fellowship and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust have celebrated the first three months of Box Tree Farm, a six-bedded house for local people who are experiencing distress in their mental health.
Box Tree Farm opened in Ratby in March following an investment by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust of £600,000. Since opening, the house has seen 49 people through its doors. On average people stay less than five days.

Richmond Fellowship staff braved the cold to sleep rough at an event in Birmingham to raise awareness of homelessness.
Recovery worker Beth Mason from Richmond Fellowship’s Brendan House supported intervention service in Cannock was joined by Grazina Berry, Director of Performance, Quality and Innovation and Angela Williams, Director of People and Organisation Development at the CEO Sleepout held at Villa Park in Birmingham, the home of Aston Villa Football club.
