Fun run raises money for mental health

Sudbury fun runOur Sudbury services raised over £400 in this year’s Sudbury Fun Run, with more money expected as part of our beneficiary status in the event.

Richmond Fellowship provides both supported housing and community services in the area and funds raised from the run will help support the people accessing services in the area.

Both staff and people using services represented Richmond Fellowship at the event with seven people running and walking for “Team Sparky”.

Matt Webb, community link worker at Richmond Fellowship, said:

“Thank you to all who sponsored and supported our team of runners and walkers. The money raised so far is a record amount for our Sudbury service and will be used to support our programme of recovery activities for those accessing support locally”.

Some of the activities organised by the charity include garden and horticultural projects, arts and crafts sessions, film nights, games nights and trips out.

The fundraising comes in an anniversary year for Richmond Fellowship’s Sudbury service which is celebrating 20 years of Making Recovery Reality, culminating in a special event at St Peter’s Church on Friday 20th May.
