Who we are

Richmond Fellowship’s Central Lancashire Haven is a welcoming and non-judgemental place for individuals struggling socially and emotionally with life challenges or who are in crisis.

We are open for telephone and face-to-face support during our full opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 9am–9pm
Weekends and Bank Holidays: 10am–9pm

No appointment required. Drop in for support and to refer into the Haven.

How we help

The Haven is a welcoming and non-judgemental place for individuals struggling socially and emotionally with life challenges or who are in crisis.

Our team of professionals and volunteers offer interactive one-to-one and group support. Our service is free to access.

Who we help

Our services are available to people over the age of 16 who live in Preston, Chorley or South Ribble.

You may refer yourself to The Haven either by contacting the team by telephone in advance, or by visiting The Haven in person during our opening hours.

You may also be signposted to our service by a GP or other partner organisation.


Getting referred

  • Staff available at any given time to welcome people at The Haven. Anyone who arrives will be met and  assessed by a member of our team as quickly as possible.
  • Professional and specific individual advice in accessing appropriate help.
  • Guidance and information on how to manage your mental health and develop coping mechanisms.
  • Peer support from people who have been through similar experiences in talking through your issues and concerns.
  • Signposting available to other organisations for support with social crisis such as housing and benefits.

Brendan House Store in Cannock

Who we are

Richmond Fellowship’s Cannock Brendan House crisis service looks to address both your immediate crisis and longer term recovery goals.

It provides safe, high quality support with an emphasis on understanding the factors which contributed to your crisis. The service equips you with strategies and tools to support your ongoing mental health recovery.

What we do

Our 24 hour short term crisis service offers 3 beds for up to 7 days to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Our service operates in a non-clinical environment using talking therapies.

Who we help

Our service is available to individuals aged 18 or over who live in South Staffordshire where mental health is the primary support need.

The individual must be known to primary or secondary mental health services and needs a safe space to address a mental health crisis and seek support.


Getting referred

Referrals are via qualified mental health professionals, social workers, psychologists and GP’s (with an appropriate risk profile) or through Community Day Service managers.

Blackpool Light Lounge Store in

It provides safe, high quality support with an emphasis on understanding the factors which contributed to your crisis. The service equips you with strategies and tools to support your ongoing mental health recovery.

What we do

The Light Lounge is a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for individuals struggling socially and emotionally with life challenges or for those in a mental health crisis.

Crisis service: 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm.

Face to face drop ins: Monday to Friday from 4pm to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm.

Digital appointments and telephone calls: 7 days a week 10am to 10pm.

Who we help

Our services are available to people over the age of 16 who live in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

You may refer yourself to us either by contacting the team by telephone in advance, or by visiting us in person during our drop in hours

You may also be signposted to our service by a GP or other partner organisation.


Support we offer
