Richmond Fellowship Awarded for Excellence in Diversity and Wellbeing

Richmond Fellowship has been placed in the top 100 organisations for promoting diversity and wellbeing at the National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) Grand Awards ceremony.

Richmond Fellowship was ranked number 81 in the country, testament to its work to promote diversity, inclusiveness and wellbeing across the organisation.

Derek Caren, Chief Executive of Richmond Fellowship, said:

“We are delighted to be ranked in the top 100 organisations. We’re incredibly proud of our diverse workforce and the range of experience our staff bring to supporting people using our services.

“This award is testament to the hard work of everyone in our organisation to promote wellbeing and inclusion and to create equal opportunities for people using our services to play an active role in how our organisation runs.” – Derek Caren, Chief Executive of Richmond Fellowship

The recognition as a top 100 organisation comes as the Government recognises the importance of employee wellbeing as part of its Five Year Forward View for Mental Health.

As the number of reported work-related mental health problems increases across the UK, it is vital that employers actively promote staff wellbeing and ensure teams are supported in the best way as they carry out their vital work.

Richmond Fellowship achieved Investors in Diversity status in 2015 in recognition of its work to provide opportunities for people living with mental ill health and to ensure diversity across the organisation, from board level downward. The organisation prides itself on working in a culturally sensitive way that promotes recovery in all aspects of its work.
