Who we are
Redhill Art Matters is a social enterprise service built to help people living with mental ill health re-gain important life skills in employment and volunteering in a safe and friendly environment.
What we do
Established in 1995, Art Matters is a community arts studio and centre of wellbeing, mindfulness and growth, aiming to connect communities and provide creative pathways to recovery.
The studio offers a person-centred and supportive environment, in which service users are encouraged to explore their creativity, curiosity, and develop new skills and confidence, working as artists alongside experienced and creative staff and volunteers.
Individuals are encouraged to set themselves goals and take ownership of their development pathways, building on personal strengths and aspirations in a shared and inclusive environment.
We work directly with Richmond Fellowship’s East Surrey Community Connections services.
Who we help
Applicants to Art Matters should be over 18, live in Surrey, have a recognised mental health diagnosis and an interest in exploring creative opportunities.
Individuals may already be accessing Richmond Fellowship’s Community Connections services in Redhill, Reigate and Banstead and Tandridge.
