We provide an employment advice and guidance service for people seeking work, training or voluntary roles.
We also provide a worklife service helping people already in work but experiencing difficulties due to mental health problems.
Additionally we work with the Mindful Employer initiative to increase awareness of mental health issues in the workplace and enable employers to support employees and job applicants appropriately.
How we help
We help people with mental health problems to look and apply for paid work or other job related opportunities such as voluntary work or training.
For those people in employment we can provide assistance on managing workplace stress and staying in work.
All our help and advice is impartial and confidential. We can offer a range of training courses and seminars.
Our employment advisors work together with clients to help identify employment needs and goals and then agree the way forward which may include individual support plans.
Every support plan is specific to the client but might include preparing a CV, practising interviews, knowing your skills, planning a successful return to work or how to communicate assertively. Access to courses, seminars and training can be organised as appropriate to the individual.
Who we can help
This service is accessed through referral only. Please contact us for more information about our referral process.
At the heart of everything we do lies:
- Hope: the belief that recovery is possible for every individual
- Respect: valuing differences and all contributions
- Enabling: giving people encouragement and support to achieve their goals
- Inclusion: the belief that everyone has a right to participate fully in society.
