Who we are
Richmond Fellowship’s Queens Park Horticultural Service supports people living with mental ill health to build confidence and develop skills to become more independent.
Queens Park is Tandridge District Council’s flagship park and open space. The flowerbeds, gardens and borders in and around the park’s inner circle are maintained by our team of dedicated volunteers from Richmond Fellowship in conjunction with Tandridge District Council.
We provide people with the opportunity to gain horticultural experience working alongside volunteers to maintain the flowerbeds within Queens park Circle which forms part of a public park.
Being involved at Queens Park means we can offer a range of physical activities and teamwork which provides a greater choice of recovery pathways for people who access our services.
What we do
We tailor our services to meet the needs of the individual. We positively encourage individuals to access a wide variety of roles which include formal and informal training, as a means to develop confidence and skills.
Our gardeners meetings encourage people we support to be actively involved in how we deliver our services, empowering people to make decisions and to be valued as part of the team.
