We are contracted by the local NHS and the London Borough of Barnet to provide local, specialist mental health support. We provide accommodation for up to 12 adults who share the use of house facilities i.e. the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and lounge and garden.
How we help
We provide a programme that encourages individuals to develop their day-to-day living and interactive skills within a supportive environment. They are expected to attend community meetings and to participate in domestic duties like cooking, cleaning and shopping.
Using the a personalised recovery based approach, we work on a one to one basis with individuals. Each person is assigned a key worker as we believe each individual is unique and should have a tailored support plan which is responsive to their needs, wishes and goals. This sets out the problems and issues influencing the person’s life and identifies how they can be supported to overcome those issues and develop skills.
Who we can help
Our service is for anyone aged over 18 who has a diagnosed enduring mental health problem.
Referrals are mainly via the community mental health trust recovery team through community psychiatric nurses, care co-ordinators and psychiatrists.
At the heart of everything we do lies:
- Hope: the belief that recovery is possible for every individual
- Respect: valuing differences and all contributions
- Enabling: giving people encouragement and support to achieve their goals
- Inclusion: the belief that everyone has a right to participate fully in society.
