We’re a small, experienced team of mental health housing support staff, offering visiting support to people in their own homes throughout south west Durham as well as in the flats we manage on behalf of Accent Housing Group.
We also provide specialist support to help people develop their IT skills as a means of gaining greater independence.
How we help
We work with people on a one to one basis, using a recovery based model and individual support planning to empower individuals to develop opportunities, gain skills and experience and make positive choices in their lives.
We provide support with getting and maintaining a tenancy, and to develop the skills and confidence to become and stay independent. We can help with the practical elements of having a tenancy such as finance, form filling and budgeting as well as the support to develop and build on opportunities and life skills.
Our specialist team also helps people build their IT skills whether they are a complete beginner or are familiar with IT so they can use technology more successfully to access services, support and information.
We can help people to apply for and use personal budgets to tailor the support they need.
We operate during office hours and aim to be as flexible as possible within those hours.
Who we can help
Our service is available to people who would benefit from specialist mental health support. Initial enquiries can be made to our administrator and applications should be made using the County Durham Common Referral Form, available from the address above.
