Improving access to psychological therapies is a free of charge service which we provide in partnership with the Birmingham Mental Health Consortium.
How we help
We provide short term brief interventions to help individuals manage their mental health productively and learn new techniques and coping mechanisms that can be implemented in day to day living environments.
Who we can help
Our service is available to anyone over the age of 16 years who is registered with a GP in the following CCG areas: South & Central, Sandwell and West Birmingham and Cross City.
If you’re unsure whether your GP falls into these CCG areas please do not hesitate to contact us to clarify.
To make a referral please download and complete our referral form and submit this by email, post or fax.
Referrals can be made with your consent by a third party on your behalf such as your GP, CPN, social worker, employer, friend or family member. We also accept self referrals.
Our approach is underpinned five key principles of mental health support:
- Open dialogue – transparency, words to words, tolerating uncertainty and healing
- Person centred – unconditional positive regard and empathy
- Action psychology – do and reflect, practical action to improve the situation
- Community self help solutions – creating opportunities
