Can I send you my CV as my application?
Yes, you can attach a CV as part of your online application.
Why do you ask for my age on your application form?
It’s our policy that all staff are required to be 18 or older to work with our service users. The front sheet of your application form containing your personal information is not included within the shortlisting process.
Is there a way to check the status of my application online?
Yes, simply log in to see the application that you’ve submitted. The current status of your application will be displayed.
What can I expect at an interview?
Most interviews involve a formal conversation with an interview panel of at least two. For some roles you may be asked to take a test or give a presentation. This will be confirmed with you ahead of your interview date.
At interview we’ll want to know details of your background and find out about your career aspirations and whether your skills match our core competency framework and the role for which you’re applying. Candidates are also encouraged to ask questions of the interview panel as we recognise that the interview is a two way process.
What will I need to bring with me to interview?
Candidates will be asked to bring ID which confirms their right to work in the UK, as well as original copies of any qualifications that have been attained. If you’re being interviewed for one of our service based roles you’ll also be asked to bring a completed Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) form, which will be sent to you with our interview invitation.
Why do I need a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure?
As a registered body we’re required to DBS check staff who work with our service users, or have access to service user details.
How long after submitting my application can I expect to hear from you?
We aim to complete our shortlisting process within 10 days of the closing date. Applicants who have been unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage will be notified via email. All applications are securely stored within our database for up to 12 months.
If my application is unsuccessful, can I request feedback?
Due to the number of applications that we receive, feedback may not always be possible for those applicants who’ve not been shortlisted. We’re happy to provide feedback to unsuccessful interview candidates. Please contact our recruitment team to arrange.
