Outreach
Increasingly as part of a move to share the skills and resources available at TWIGS with the wider community, we are looking to provide skill-based workshops at locations other than TWIGS. Other benefits from this work are that we can de-stigmatise mental health as an issue and build the confidence of those using our service by engaging them as tutors with a diverse range of groups.
We have already run very successful craft based sessions with Swindon Asian Women’s Groups and two local schools.

As an ongoing provision a member of our team provides a craft activity session at our sister project, RFET Marlborough, once a week. As further RFET services develop across Wiltshire we hope to be able to share more skills and learning.

We are always looking to find new partnerships and venues to expand our horizons and give those using our service a colourful experience.

Our most recent piece of outreach has taken us into partnership with Swindon Town Centre Management to help design and build a showcase garden celebrating 200 years since the birth of Brunel.
