RF TWIGS CBS

Who we are:

TWIGS (Therapeutic Work In Gardening Swindon) is a regional quality champion for THRIVE, the National Association for Horticultural Therapy. We have a team of 6 Staff who between them have skills in Occupational therapy, teaching, horticultural therapy and social work.

TWIGS is also delivered by a team of around 20 volunteers. We specialise in providing a wide range of recovery focused activites in a beautiful setting.

What we offer:

TWIGS provides creative occupational opportunities for up to 100 people who are looking to move forward on their recovery journey. We can help you to regain confidence, self esteem and learn new skills, as well as becoming part of an exciting and innovative community project.

How we work:

There are numerous activities to try including a wide range of horticultural tasks, contemporary crafts and woodcrafts. We run the City and Guilds Organic Gardening certificate course in conjunction with Cirencester College. TWIGS is a stepping stone to further training, education and work.

What we achieve:

By using the Recovery star, individuals are helped to assess their situation and realise goals and aspirations. Skills and confidence are aquired through our activity programmes. We work closely with RF Wiltshire's Employment Advisors who can help you to find paid employment or further voluntary work.
