My Time Recovery Centre (Isle of Wight)
Quay House, The Riverside Centre
Isle of Wight
We’re working with a number of partners to develop an integrated public and voluntary sector peer-led recovery centre on the Isle of Wight
How we help
The My Time Recovery Centre on the Isle of Wight is a place to feel welcomed, valued and safe. It provides an opportunity to increase your self esteem, confidence and abilities for self-help.
We run a peer-led recovery programme which helps build your resilience and social skills and provides education, advice and signposting to other useful support. Alongside this are a range of peer-led activities including arts and crafts, outdoor activities, relaxation and supported group discussions.
Who we can help
Our services are available to adults over the age of 18 who live on the Isle of Wight.
Our approach is underpinned five key principles of mental health support:
- Open dialogue – transparency, words to words, tolerating uncertainty and healing
- Person centred – unconditional positive regard and empathy
- Action psychology – do and reflect, practical action to improve the situation
- Community self help solutions – creating opportunities
