Who we are
Richmond Fellowship’s Redbridge Community Links service works with individuals affected by mental ill health already living in their own homes to receive assistance and support in getting information and access to leisure and educational activities and other services such as Food Bank and Benefit Advice Service in the community.
What we do
We offer one to one advice sessions using the recovery star to develop goal and action plans with regular reviews. We also work with other organisations to put on workshops aimed at developing skills e.g. Raising awareness in prostate cancer, drama class, debt management and pathways to opportunities for continued development in the community e.g. college, local interest groups.
Individuals are helped to identify strengths, aspirations, interests and goals and to take ownership of their development. This process is supported by Community Links Workers who have a good knowledge of local resources and community groups and can assist in researching appropriate opportunities.
Individuals are encouraged to set up their own activities as a way of promoting confidence building, self-direction and empowerment. The Community Links Workers build and maintain connections with a variety of different cultural community groups in the area.
