Richmond Fellowship provides a supported housing service to people with mental health problems in Macclesfield who require low levels of support. We focus on making recovery reality for everyone who uses our services and work with residents as equal partners to co-produce an individual package of support.
How we help
We work with a local housing provider to offer single occupancy tenancies in two shared 3-bedroom houses at Hedgerows (Hedgerows) or through licences in a shared nine bedroom refurbished shared accommodation at Glegg Street.
Individuals are supported to manage their mental health, maintain their tenancies, develop their daily living and self care skills and build on their social networks.
Ours is a short term service that provides intensive support to individuals to help them move on in a positive way within 6-12 months. (If you feel a long term service is more appropriate then we do have other more suitable schemes so please contact us to discuss.)
Who we can help
Our service typically supports adults aged over 18 with mental health problems who have been assessed as benefiting from a recovery based supported accommodation service for a short period of time.
We are providing this service on behalf of Cheshire East Council and as such all referrals should come through their Single Point of Access – details can be found on the Cheshire East Housing Options website
At the heart of everything we do lies:
- Hope: the belief that recovery is possible for every individual
- Respect: valuing differences and all contributions
- Enabling: giving people encouragement and support to achieve their goals
- Inclusion: the belief that everyone has a right to participate fully in society.
