Portsmouth Services celebrate new contract with official launch event on 23rd May

Portsmouth Services have been awarded a new contract from Portsmouth City Council to deliver community based services in the city for the next two years. The Support and Recovery Service will provide flexible support to individuals, providing opportunities to establish social and support networks, and to develop interests and reduce social isolation. The key emphasis for the Service is on accessing community and mainstream opportunities, working in partnership with Solent Mind and SEAP.

Allie Burkmar, RF Area Manager, says: "We are very pleased to be able to offer this important service to local people and are grateful to commissioners for their support. We hope to help as many individuals as possible to rebuild their lives and regain skills in order to be able to feel part of their local community. The response during the launch period has been very positive indeed and we are in contact with a variety of community groups, employers, voluntary agencies and education providers across the city."
