Kate Garraway raises money for RF TWIGS on All Star Family Fortunes
On Saturday 14th April Kate Garraway, presenter of Daybreak, appeared with her uncle Geoff King and family on ITV’s game show All Star Family Fortunes to raise money for RF TWIGS (Therapeutic Work in Gardening Swindon). RF was delighted to receive a cheque for £2,550 as a result of their skill and thanks the whole family for battling it out with Coronation Street’s Chris Fountain!
The King family are fantastic supporters of RF TWIGS. In February Geoff, his two daughters and his brother and daughter joined the Mt Kilimanjaro climb to raise over £7,500 in sponsorship and proudly unfurled a TWIGS banner at the Uhuru summit (19,340 ft)! Geoff says “Climbing Kilimanjaro was a big challenge for me, but it is small in comparison to the challenges faced by people with mental health problems, some of whom have lost their families and jobs because of their mental health issues. RF TWIGS’s services are needed by so many of us.”
